Lyddy is a 24-year old 2009 graduate from the University of Connecticut where he finished with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. While at Connecticut, Kyle was a traveling manager for the Men's Basketball team. As a senior, he accompanied the Huskies to the Final Four in Detroit, Michigan where they fell in the National Semifinal to Michigan State.
Lyddy is a Newtown, Connecticut resident where he is a graduate of Newtown High School. In 2005, Lyddy received the Newtown Sportsman of the Year Award from the Newtown Bee.
During the summer of Lyddy's junior year at Connecticut, he was an intern with Major League Baseball's Community Affairs Department. Here he worked closely with the RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Program as well as projects dealing with the 2008 All-Star Game in New York City.
Kyle is the youngest of five children (Ryan, Kara, Katie & Chris) and is the brother of current Connecticut State Representative Christopher Lyddy. Kyle resides in his Newtown home with his mother, Sally. Lyddy's father passed of colon cancer in 2006.
